Film Corner ~ Mean Girls

I actually saw this movie a while ago, but I saw it again yesterday. So, I thought I'd share my thoughts.

Scale: -10 to 10

Quality: -2 (40%)

Quality Summary: Its lack of any effects or, really, any good cinematography is what fuels this low score. Luckily, everything else is great, so I quickly shoved aside the lack of important lighting.

Characters: 9 (95%)

Character Summary: Janis, Cady, Regina... pretty much everyone is terrifyingly realistic. And, most of them are relatable in so many ways. Not all of them, but most of them. Hell, even when things go fricking mad (you all know that scene), it's still believable to an extent. I want to give them a solid ten but I think a 9 should suffice.

Premise/Plot: 7 (85%)

Premise Summary: The premise is... okay at best. But the plot really shines; it feels so extremely real. If you're in high school or even just junior high, you can very much relate to this film. If you're an adult, though, it can bring some... nostalgia? Relief that you don't have to deal with that anymore? To sum up: bland premise + amazing execution = great plot.

Enjoyability: 10 (100%)

Enjoyability Summary: Do I even have words? This movie is just... the bomb. While the plot itself is just a 17/20, I enjoyed the crap out of everything. It was so well-written and it reminded me of Clueless, which is always a good thing.

OVERALL: 6 (80%)
